And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: (Hebrews 10:24)

We had a wonderful time of fellowship, recently, at our "almost annual" Fall Fellowship which we hosted at our home. It provided a time to be able to simply talk, get to know one another, and to encourage one another.

Our church family is filled with individuals who come from all walks of life. I think that most would be shocked at the variety of experiences that those within our church family have gone through. We need our church family and it is incumbent upon each one of us to love one another; take the time to get to know one another; and then, as we are able, to help and encourage one another.

"President for the Day"

On Friday, South Charlotte Baptist Academy held its first ever "President for the Day" election. Two of our teenagers "ran for president." How did the students vote? By giving a dollar for their favorite candidate which allowed them the opportunity to attempt to dunk them.

The purpose of this event was to raise money for a local non-profit in the Pineville area, the Pineville Neighbors Place.

The event was a "splashing" success and we thank these two young ladies for their willingness to participate! The "votes" have yet to be counted. We will be announcing the victorious candidate this coming week.

Each November, for that same non-profit, the Pineville Neighbor's Place, we conduct a food drive in the Academy. We invite all of our church family to participate as well. Each time you attend a church, between now and Sunday, November 23, I want to encourage you and challenge you to bring food items with you that will be donated to the Pineville Neighbor's Place. This year, with the suspension of SNAP benefits for many individuals, the need for food pantries has never been greater. Please do your part to be a blessing to others. Click here to view a list of the items that you can bring in.

Until Next Time...Reach One!

The Lord has allowed my wife and I the opportunity to serve Him, at South Charlotte Baptist Church, since 2000! It's been quite the journey. The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows!
