"Death Blow" To Global Order
In a recent news article entitled:
Trump Election Would Be ‘Death Blow’ to Global Order: Israeli Historian Yuval Noah Harari
A victory for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election would deal a “death blow” to globalism, Israeli historian and author Yuval Noah Harari says, criticizing the GOP candidate’s focus on American nationalism.
Ten years ago, there was a “global order, the liberal order” which created the “most peaceful era in human history,” Mr. Harari said in a Jan. 11 interview with “The Diary of a CEO” podcast.
However, “this order was repeatedly attacked, not only from outside, from forces like Russia or North Korea or Iran that never accepted this order, but also from the inside, even from the United States, which was the architect to a large extent of this order, with the election of Donald Trump, which says, ‘I don’t care about any kind of global order, I'd only care about my own nation.’”
I mention this article and the sentiment of this individual, not to prove some political point but rather to draw your attention to the fact that our world is growing closer to a “one world government” which should not be alarming to a Bible-believing Christian and student of God’s Word.
Not only that, but I would point out that our world is becoming more desirous of such a one world government.
These are merely signs of the time.
One of the original Bible teachers from the Back to the Bible broadcast wrote this:
The world is longing for some world ruler who will come and bring peace and order out of chaos.
The conditions are ripe…for a world ruler who will promise peace and security.
We know, that, at the beginning of the Tribulation, there will be the revealing of the Antichrist.
Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
One commentary states:
This rider, the Antichrist, comes into prominence and power as a man of peace after the Rapture…Thus the Tribulation starts with a world leader who, with flattery, promises peace to the world.
Daniel 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
If I may make these applications:
The rapture is imminent. It could happen any time as it will take place before the seven year tribulation takes place.
1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
This, then, should not be a frightening/anxious time for us as Bible-believing Christians but should be a time for us to encourage one another.
1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
This is also a time when, because we are able to have a settled peace, we should seek to share this settled peace (which is found only in God and a trust in God’s Word) with others.
Finally, let's keep in mind Christ's words:
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Instead, let's rejoice that the coming of our Lord could be at any time!
