Eagle's Call, Monday, March 24, 2025

We want to congratulate all of our jr/sr high students for the wonderful job that they did while competing in the 2025 North Carolina Christian School Association's Fine Arts Competition.
While the all did a wonderful job (and had a wonderful time), there are a few of the students that we would like to specifically mention...
Miss Lynnea McClure placed 1st in the sr high science fair. (Because of that, Lynnea will be participating in the National Fine Arts Competition which will take place next month on the campus of Bob Jones University!)
Miss Julianna Rideout placed 2nd in jr high Bible teaching.
Mr. Brieghton McClure placed 3rd in jr high Bible preaching.
Miss Joanna Uit de Flesch placed 1st in jr high calligraphy.
Miss Emma Drewery placed 1st in jr high digital art.
Miss Sierra Dillon placed 2rd in jr high still life photography.
We also want to thank the SCBA staff and other parents who assisted in preparing the students for Fine Arts and who accompanied the students while they were there!
2025 Eagle's Rally
The 2025 Eagle's Rally was originally scheduled for this coming Friday, March 28. However, we are rescheduling that event for Friday night, April 18.
The reason? We were especially seeking to use this event as an opportunity to "spread the word" about South Charlotte Baptist Academy throughout our community. We were going to accomplish that by producing and sending out a direct mailer to thousands of households in our area. (We praise the Lord that the SCBC church family agreed to spend several thousands of dollars to get out a direct mailer for this purpose!) Unfortunately, we were unable to get that direct mailer prepared in time! We felt it best, therefore, to postpone the event.
We will specifically be in touch with those students (and their families) that we would like to have participate in this year's Eagle's Rally.
Thank you for understanding and please keep this event in prayer!
2025 SCBC Spring Revival

This week, SCBC is pleased to welcome Evangelist John Van Gelderen for our 2025 Spring Revival Services. Each night, this week at 7:00 PM, through Wednesday, Bro. Van Gelderen will be preaching in the SCBC Scott Auditorium. Mr. Van Gelderen has spoken at South Charlotte Baptist Church on many occassions and each time our people are blessed, challenged, and encouraged by his preaching which focuses on the Spirit-filled life of Christians.
2025 Iowa Testing
As you probably are aware, our students are taking the Iowa Tests this week. The Iowa Tests allow us to gauge how our students are doing as compared to students - public and private school students - from around the nation. We will publish the test results as they become available. However, please help you students, each night by making sure that they receive a good night's rest and that they have a good breakfast before coming to school.
Finally, please keep all of our students and staff in prayer - particullarly at this time of year! With the change from winter to spring and with the nicer temperatures, it is becoming more difficult for the teahers to keep the students "on task" and focused on their studies.
