Consider What I Say...
“Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.” 2 Timothy 2:7
In the preceding verses (Click here to read 2 Timothy 2:4-6.), Paul had just challenged Timothy to be…
· A disciplined soldier (vs. 4)
· A determined athlete (vs. 5)
· A diligent farmer (vs. 6)
As we begin 2024, we need to be challenged in the same way.
In this coming year, it is likely that, just like soldiers, some of us will face difficulties and trials in our walk with God that, unless we remain disciplined, will cause us to fall out of the race and give up. How should be prepare for that? Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!
In this coming year, some of us, like athletes, are going to get tired and weary as we strive to serve God. We must stay determined. How? Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!
In this coming year, some of us may, like farmers, get frustrated and lose hope as we toil – seemingly alone – for the cause of Christ. We must stay diligent! How? Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!
Remember,
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
