'Twas the Day of Surgery

We had to arrive early at the hospital as they were planning to take Logan at 7:30 AM.
Surgery didn't begin until about 8:30 AM (or a little after). We were told to expect surgery to last anywhere from 3-4 hours.
The surgical team kept Jeremiah and Amanda updated throughout the surgery.
The surgeon came out around 11:30 AM to let us know that surgery was over and to give us a run down of how things went.
In short...the surgery was a huge success! The hernia was about 17 cm in size. All of his organs were put back in their proper place. The hernia was repaired. They used only a small piece of mesh. As Logan grows, his body will grow scar tissue to cover the mesh. In fact, when he is an adult, no one will even know that he has a piece of mesh in his body.
By the time Logan is 3-6 months, he should be a "normal" little boy. The long term prognosis for Logan is very good!
After the surgeon left, and after our initial rejoicing, we stopped and took a moment to pray and thank the Lord for His good favor in bringing Logan through his surgery!
We praise the Lord for all of the prayers from our family and friends!
Side note: The head surgeon and two others on the surgical team are from Iowa! We're everywhere!
Until next time...Reach 1!
Update: Here's a picture of Logan! He's back in his room and doing very well. Notice the catepillar? That's where is surgical incision is located. One of the nurses used the word "amazing" in describing some of Logan's numbers.
